The Vyssuals Revit Connector is a plugin that connects your Revit model to the web dashboard. It establishes a real-time connection between your Revit model and the Vyssuals web application, allowing you to visualize and analyze your BIM data instantly.

Installation:

1. Log in to your Vyssuals account
2. Download the installer from your dashboard
3. Run the installer
4. Restart Revit
5. Find Vyssuals in the Add-Ins tab

Security: The connection is local - no data leaves your system. It's a direct connection between Revit and your browser.

Dashboard templates are saved configurations that capture your chart setups, parameters, and organization. Think of them as "recipes" for your analysis workflows.

What gets saved:

Creating Templates:

1. Build your dashboard with the analysis you want to standardize

Here are solutions for the most common issues:

Connection Problems:

• Verify Revit connector is running - Click 'Start' in the Vyssuals tab if needed
• Check only one vyssuals.com/app tab is open - Multiple tabs can cause conflicts
• Restart Revit if connection issues persist
• Look for blue dot in bottom left corner of web app (indicates connection)

No Data Showing:

• Check your filters - They're powerful but might filter out data accidentally
• Ensure Revit is connected (blue dot indicator)
• Verify your model has elements in the selected category
• Check category selection - Maybe no elements exist in that category

Slow Performance:

• Use selective categories instead of full model sync
• Limit to visible elements only in connector settings
• Close other resource-intensive applications
• Pause or stop sync when not actively working with data

Chart Creation Issues:

• Try different parameters - Some parameters might not have data
• Check parameter fill state - Use the %-filled column in parameters panel
• Clear browser cache if charts aren't updating properly
